Keith has said they hope to have it released in 2008 but based on their slow delivery I would expect it to be sometime 2Q 2009 at best.

I assume you made this estimation after you got feedback on your feature request (about which you expressed your disappointment in another post).

No, I based that on the fact that v4 was in production for over 2 years and was supposed to be released 1Q 2007 (IIRC) and pro released in 4Q 2007.

Thats what we were told mid-end of 2006. I remember that as well.

    Dave.

I am using capture 4 now as demo. While i like the support for my canon 40d and 1d mkIII i need the batch support and adjust apply to multiple images that capture 4 offers. If I buy capture 4 now do i get credit towards pro ? can I expect pro to come out this month or should I just get another vendors software ?

    Hi Bill R.,
Batch support (batch processing) and apply adjust to multiple images are part of the current CO4 release. Maybe the current CO4 is all you need. If a future CO4 Pro appears to offers advantages to you, you could upgrade. I admit that this upgrade path is not yet clear (pricing).

perhaps I am doing some thing wrong then or it does not work on the demo version, but cant do batch or apply adjustments at this time (OS MAC leopard) than you for prompt response. Bill

If you buy 3.7.x Pro you can use the current C4 and I understand you will be able to upgrade to C1 pro v4 as a no charge upgrade.

I am a long time C1 pro user (V1.x) and that is the route I hope to go if I like the v4 Pro. At present I am using 3.7.7 for my older cameras and I am still trying to decide on a workflow for my new cameras that are not supported in 3.7.7. I would like 3.7.8 to support them but I am looking at alternatives like Canon DPP (no cost to me) but also Lightroom and others.

If I go Lightroom (or another) as an interim then there will be a question mark as to whether I will want go back C1 Pro when v4 comes along.

Bill, the CO4 demo is fully functional.
If you select multiple images and click Process while holding the Shift key, all selected images will process from the queue.
Copy adjustments: select origin, click Copy, select target, click Apply (Adjustments tab).

Remember, its ctrl-click to select multiple images, or ctrl-a to select all, then hold down shift, then click on process.
(I like the rather ironic pun in the mispelling BTW!)

Is 3.7 Pro broken? Come on. C4 is also available.
