C1 LE 3.5.2 crashes on startup
I hadn't used C1 LE 3.5.2 for a while since having purchased Photoshop CS which includes Adobe Raw Converter. Recently, however, I needed it again but now when I try to launch the application, it crashes just after the splash screen displays \"Initializing Application...\" message. See the attached screen capture for the exact error message:

I am using Windows 2000 SP4 (5.00.2195) on a Pentium III @ 700MHz with 768MB of RAM and tons of free disk space. This crash occurs 100% of the time, and regardless of what other applications (if any) are currently running on the system.
Unfortunately I have no idea when exactly C1 LE quit working on this system, as it has been a few months. I have installed several new software applications between now and then, so those could have contributed to the problem. Most notable ones are probably upgrade from Office 2000 to Office 2003, as well as numerous Win2K security patches. I imagine one of these could have introduced an incompatible version of one of the system libraries. Anyway, I have re-installed the same version (3.5.2) over the current installation two times, no help there.
On the other hand, I happen to have some software development tools installed on this machine. I used VS.NET 2003 to extract a backtrace and disassembly of the crash site, they can be found here:
ftp://ftp.tjotala.com/outgoing/C1LE-Cra ... -crash.txt
And here's a module listing by the DEPENDS tool:

Thoughts, anyone? Are there any registry settings, config files, or other junk that I could try to rename/erase to clear this up?

I uninstalled both 3.5 and 3.5.2 via Control Panel, cleaned up the computer as indicated by the KB article, and then re-installed 3.5.2. Now it no longer crashes at startup, and all is well. 0
