Aptus II 5 tethered filesupport lost outside co5.2
Hi,
after I upgraded to Capture One 5.2 and shoot tethered with my Aptus II 5, the files has become unreadable in Lightroom, osx and Photoshop/Bridge. I usually go through the selection process in Bridge because of its superior rating management and speed. I then put the selected images into CO to process because of COs superior RAW processing.
After this upgrade (I also upgraded to 5.2.1, but the problem persists) I am unable to see the the files in osx and bridge / lightroom / photoshop.
The funny thing is that if I shoot to a card and download it, everything works as its supposed to. So I guess that means that CO 5.2 does something to the files when shooting tethered that it did not do previously. Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem?
Regards,
Steffen

It is not just you. I heard today in a Capture One training that since the Leaf-Phase One merger, the MOS file has changed when shooting tethered. No background info yet, but it seems generic. Not sure what happens when you shoot tethered to Leaf Capture 11. 0 -
Hello,
Run the files you capture through the following bit of software;
http://www.leaf-photography.com/downloads_rc125mac.html
This way they can now be opened in other programs. It's not that we changed anything per se but rather we use the true portable MOS file type in 5.2 to facilitate faster Tethered Capture and preview render. Other softwares like ACR and Lightroom are welcome to support these files if they like but they pick and choose which type of file formats they support.0 -
Thank you very much for your replies. Hopefully acr and others will address this in their next update.
Thanx,
