Moving Photos from Aperture Libraries to C1
I imported an Aperture library. Then I could see a list of the photo files. So I made a folder for these files.
When I returned to transfer the photos, C1 showed a library list, such as 09 > 01, etc.
And then Aperture won't work.
How do I fix this?
My default option is to delete everything and start over by opening Aperture vaults, which would take a really long time.
Thanks for your help.

Do you have a Time Machine backup that you could use to put things back how they were?

Can you be a bit clearer?
- Was the Aperture library managed or referenced?
- How did you "make a folder for these files", and why did you do it? If you started with a Referenced library, then C1 and Aperture should be able to see the same files in their original folders and C1 should have imported the Aperture library. I don't know what happens if you convert an Aperture managed library to a C1 managed library. All of the really useful information I've seen (and what I do) is to first convert your Aperture library to referenced and then import into C1.
- How does Aperture not work now? Doesn't launch? Launches but doesn't see the image files any more? If the latter, I'll bet it's related to how you created the new folder.0 -
Thank you for your help.
I've resolved this issue.
Now I've successfully transferred my photos from Aperture libraries into Capture One catalogs.
It was a lot of work. And I think this will prove worthwhile. C1 does a better job adjusting photos.0
