Color Issues
I recently started using a diffreent (calibrated) monitor with C1 LE. I am having all kinds of color issues. DOn't think they are me, but could be.
Can someone take a look and see if anything looks wrong.
My monitor (LCD) is color calibrated with a gretag macbeth device. The camera is a Canon 1Dmark IIn (but have the same issue with my Mark II and 5D). I am using the color profile for the 1DMark II because I think I get better color than the 1Dmark II N profile.
The photo on the left is in MS Fax and Photo Viewer, which is color managed, the copy on the right in straight from C1 and the color management palette from C1 as well.
Any one have any thoughts? [/url]

The Microsoft fax picture viewer isn't a color managed application. You'll see these color shifts from a managed color environment such as C1.
Try using Photoshop to compare the images. Also, I'd use an Adobe 1998 or ProPhoto output colorspace, bring the image into Photoshop and compare to your C1 image. They should be identical. Then Convert to sRGB.
I noticed the your monitor profile is Unlocked. C1 uses the default monitor profile. Make sure this is the one you produced via GMB.0 -
According to MS Fax and picture viewer is color managed. I don't have photoshop but use GIMP and it looks the same in GIMP (Bue). The default monitor profile is the one GMB created. 0 -
dmendlik,
So your GMB created monitor profile is named: monitor_3-13-2006_1
and if so it is loaded correctly.
Is your color space of choice sRGB ? because that is what is set in for Output Destination ( Working Space) and therefore this is the color space used for display of Thumbnails and Previews.
It appears you are comparing an sRGB to a default monitor profile for these images, if of course that is what MS is using for color management.
If all are in order to here, then backing up a bit, what White Balance was used?
in-camera custom, true gray card .. and what adjustments were made at the White Balance tab?

MS FAX viewer is not a managed color application. It doesn't know about ICC profiles. Your browser is better for viewing images than MS FAX viewer (and the browser isn't a managed color space app either), it just does a better job with sRGB output.
BreezeBrowser, Photomechanic, and a bunch of other image browsers are color managed. Try downloading one of these trial products and examine your photos.
Some of the changes going into MS Vista is better color management throughout the OS and browser applications.

Guys, Thanks for the help on t his.
Here is where I found that MS Fax viewer was color managed, guess it's wrong/
The photo was shot in camera at 5700K and adjusted to 6850k, -2 Tint.
I think I may have fixed the problem. I am running on an ATI card that has a dual monitor cable. I plugged my monitor into the number 2 cable, recalibrated my monitor and now it seems to be ok.
Very weird, I have the same exact setup on 2 other computers with no issue. Must have been a corrupt profile or something.0
