Duplicate files

If you have imported two identical files that have different file paths, Media Pro does not recognize these as duplicate files, but as similar files. To locate these types of files, use the Show Similar command in the Find menu

(Media Pro defines duplicate files as two or more items that reference the same file path. Missing files are catalog items whose stored file path doesn't correspond to an image because you may have moved, renamed, or deleted the original image.)

Hi and thanks for your help.mi tried the find similar files and it also missed them. Is there something that must be done first, like select all, that is needed for the command to work?

    Thanks again, Steve

1.Select the 'source' image you want to compare the others with.
    2. Choose 'Show Similar' from the Find menu
    3. And now you have some options. Try to experiment with it to find different results.
When you choose a narrow matching this can take a long time. First try Loose and narrow it down.

After each search some results are presented. At this moment you can not perform a new search. First 'reset' by (for example) selecting a label/rating/keyword (does not mather what) and and then deselecting.
