Capturing with the "Capture" Button from the Com

I'm using Capture One Pro version 3.7.7 with Windows XP and a Canon 5d tethered to the computer. I'd like to capture images from the computer/program with the "Capture" Button but it is not activated (I am able to capture properly with the shutter release button on the camera).

Does anyone know how to get the button to activate?

    Have you checked whether XP recognizes the camera at all (does it show up in Device Manager)?
    Have you checked the communication setting of the 5D? Should be PC, not PTP or printing if I recall correctly.
    Does EOS Utility communicate with the camera, can you use remote shooting?

    Tip: next time, post in the Capture One 3 for Windows forum for better response. You have posted in the Capture One 4 for Windows forum.

    The Capture button feature on the Windows version of Capture One 3 only works with Phase One camera backs.
    We suggest you use the EOS utility if you have to remote fire and control the camera.
