upgrade
Just wonder if I'm the only one with trouble finding the way to upgrade from 8.1 to 8.2. Seems like that should be a large button on the main page of the Phaseone website. I log in but still find nothing.

You have to download the Full App. No upgrade download.

Correct! Download the full program and copy it into your Applications directory. All your settings and configurations are stored in a separate directory and are not affected by copying over the original application file.
One note, though - I did end up losing my workspace settings. It was easy enough to recover though.0 -
Direct link to download. No login is necessary, just your mailadres.

And yes, your old workspace is saved in the custom workspace folder, and can be found under Window menu > Workspaces.0 -
Isnt it a bit weird you have to download the whole program again?? And not very user friendly at telling you that had to come to the forums to figure it out 0 -
I think Capture One ought to be able to refresh itself in a way that is similar to VLC. VLC detects when a new version of itself is available and it upgrades itself through a complete download and installation process.
However, if I had a choice of asking Phase One what to improve then I would not ask them to improve the updating process. Right now I would rather they focus their efforts on improving their display features and raw camera file support.0 -

No, I do not think it is weird. Apart from the fact that it is a common way to update an application, it is also a safe and secure way to make sure all files of the program are of the same release. This prevents the risk of inconsistencies that would harm the user experience. So for user friendliness... download and install the whole program.0
