Catalogs - Importing - Win 7 64 bit - auto adjust bug
I'm running the latest build of C1Pro, and am having issues with the 'auto adjust' feature during import into catalogs.

I end up canceling the 'activity' when the activity monitor screen appears (which by the way is another bug - I only get the activity window about 1 in 10 operations).
Thanks,
Aaron

See where it is Auto Adjusting more images than imported? And the time is negative. Bizarre behavior IMO. 0 -
I saw the same thing when I installed a flux capacitor in my computer. 0 -
Aaron,
Have you reported this to PhaseOne and asked for an explanation by creating a support case?
This being a user to user forum you might not get any useful imormation about your observation without asking the people who can provide and authorised response.
I must say I have not seen these sorts of numbers but then whether or not I see Activities window is not of importance to me. Do you actually have problems with your imorted images not being Auto Adjusted when you expect them to be? Auto Adjust on import is not something I use often either. But if I did I am not sure I would cancel the import activity though I might cancel the activity monitor.

Hi Grant,
I will see if I can submit a case to Phase One. Activity monitoring is another broken "feature" from what I can tell. I have canceled the export of a bunch of variants, by using the X in the activity monitor, but the export continues unabated.
Thanks,

Aaron,
So far as I know closing the Activity Monitor (which you can also open at any time using the "Window" menu option - even if it has no activity to report at that moment) using the X will only close the display window of the monitor not the various activities that it may be reporting upon.

... And, if you're lucky, using the X will only cancel the last (and only visible) process. In Lightroom one gets individual process status bars that can be stopped (and of course you can see what the application is doing). That's what COP needs to implement.

Aaron,
I have to say that I have never felt a need to stop a process other than by using the cancel button on an import if I got something wrong when I set it up to do what I intended it to do.
The output process, which runs in the background, is something that one can pause and change but that is reasonable since it can be, potentially, quite a large queue and using a significant amount of resource in order to facilitate a rapid output. Even so I don't recall stopping the queue more than once or twice - usually when doing some rough performance timing for other software or on a low powered system if I needed to do something else at a time I had planned to leave a very large batch running.
I see no reason for C1 to attempt to become a clone of LR.
