Settings91 creating TMP files

I am using C1 v9.3 64bit on Windows 10

I am having problems with .cos files in settings folder. New adjustments I make to an image are saved in .cos TMP files and not .cos file. So once I quite the C1 application and reload, the image settings are lost. The only solution is to rename the last saved TMP file. It keeps creating TMP file of the same image.

The TMP file naming is strange as well. It keeps adding a previous TMP file name to the newer one. I am giving an example below:
imagename.cos
imagename.cos~RF51c745b.TMP
imagename.cos~RF51c745b.TMP~RF51d003f.TMP
imagename.cos~RF51c745b.TMP~RF51d003f.TMP~RF51e6fdc.TMP

And the TMP files gets even longer depending how many changes I make to an image. The final settings saved would be in the longest TMP file.

This is quite strange as I did not have this problem before.

    It is a known issue with c1p and certain W10 updates. Phase One fixed it for newer versions of cop1, but not for v.9, even if it might be nothing more than a simple copy/paste, recompile and deploy.

    The advice I got from tech support was to either purchase a newer c1p version, or to rollback W10 to an earlier version, not reasonable, what with sw vulnerability and security.

    I chose to discontinue my use of c1p.
