Crop Tool
What is the crop tool doing? I have a 6016 x 4016 px photo, the crop tool reports I have cropped the image to 3000 x 1667 px which I know is incorrect because the crop covers the whole width of the photo. Incidentally, 3000 x 1667 px are the dimensions typed on in the width and height of the crop tool (ratio is original).

It's probably showing you the RATIO you typed into the dimensions.

Did you enter the 3000 x 1667 px into your output recipe? Crop mask values shown depend on recipe settings, like pixels, cm, in, and fixed dimensions.
If the value remains constant while re-sizing the crop area, check your settings there. 'Output' - 'Process Recipe' - 'Scale'.

The selected process recipe for this image is indeed set to a maximum width of 3000px, I had not noticed this. If I change the process recipe to anything outputting the image at full size the values indeed change; oddly they change to 6223 x 3459 px, which is actually bigger than the camera sensor and the size reported in the metadata tab.0 -
6223 x 3459 px is a 3000 by 1667 ratio. But yes, 6223 px is too wide for a 6014 px image. You need to check your settings in crop and recipe. Best start is a recipe setting with 'fixed' scale and '100%' setting, and a reset of the crop in the crop tool. Instead of a crop reset, you can try re-drawing or re-sizing the crop.
Difficult for me to tell what's causing it from here.
You probably know already, but nevertheless:
To define a new crop aspect ratio, use 'Crop" - 'Ratio" - 'Add Aspect Ratio', give it a name, and enter 3000 by 1667 there.
