I agree, and this was also a problem with C16... such a pain to constantly rearrange the desktop on 2 monitor workflow... c'mon guys, really!!??

I'm not sure if this is what you mean ❓ but after you make the changes you want to your desktop save them as IE: "My Desktop" then, when you choose "My Desktop" it should still reflect your chosen layout.

For example, I setup C1 the way I want it to look (also dual screen) then I save all my changes as "Dave's Desktop" which then becomes my default desktop, then every time I start C1 I have my chosen layout.

You can save several Desktop Layouts if you want, and change to them as required.

Same frustration here: when opening a session with CO v.7, like it was with v.6, browser and viewer windows settings on each monitor are not applied according to the session they belonged and the workspace they were saved in.
CO 7.0 always opened browser & viewer, together, on the computer "original"'s display, let's say on the "main" one, even if the finder, with its top menu bar, has been set on the second display.
Needs to drag each window to their respective place according to the workspace they were saved for this just opened session, or select again that workspace.
Does not seem like any developer at PhaseOne has two monitors available to do the test. Just a Dell should be fine...

A session template feature, like a "super-workspace", which will included all windows settings, file names pre-sets and so on, when creating a new session, will be of great help.
A kind of dream for the one who opens average 3 to 5 sessions per day... ☹️

I've tried Window>Workspace>Dual Monitor and it works every time.
I don't understand exactly where you have problem.

Oops, I have to (at least) partially agree. Sometimes is kind of floppy, indeed.
But I understand that there are also some quirks because of OSX also.
    (to be continued).

So, I only encounter problems when I use dual monitors setup AND Full Screen mode combined.

MacPro 2.66 QuadCore, ATI 4870, two 23' Apple Cinema Displays.
    CO 7.0 on Lion 10.7.5.

My point is every time I select dual monitor or even saved it as a default desktop, I need to drag either the viewer or browser onto my second monitor. If you''ve used LR or aperture their dual monitor setup is pretty spot on, no need dragging the browser into the 2nd monitor...

Strange this is how mine worked in v6.xx (as I said earlier mine works fine in v7) the workaround in v6 was to select the viewer screen before closing CO down, then when CO was re-opened it would open the same way it was saved.
