I completely agree about 4 version. I have tested and tried it and did not find it fitting my needs either. The pro version is much more user friendly. 3.7.8 would be greatly adored and appreciated. Any idea on time scale. Soooo many are waiting for this.

Same to me. Sony Alpha700 is on the market now for nearly half a year. First shipping was in September 2007.
A profile for a camera like the a700 is strongly remommended from many users.

If there will be no new 3.x version anymore. Be a man, just say it.
Every customer can than decide to go on with another product.
But everytime the same "coming soon", "in the beta process", "checking right now" and so on is embarassing. This "tactic" will not succeed.
Please do not think that the customers are not ready for the truth. They're just no longer ready for waiting and for silly answers.

Please give us a timeline, or do you want to say that you do not have one?

Is it possible to give us a Version 4 profile for the newest cameras?
No? Or are these profiles also just right now in "beta checking" and "coming very soon".....
Waiting just makes sense if there will be an end of it....

    Godot 😊

    Hello,

3.7.8 is currently in testing, so if all goes well we hope to release it shortly. all cameras currently supported in 4 will be supported in 3.7.8

    wonderful "hard facts".

"currently testing" and "hope to release".
same as weeks or months ago.

"all cameras currently supported" means no support for Sony A700.
the news are getting better and better....

Come on guys, give them a rest. I'm anxious about 3.7.8 and v4PRO versions too but try to be a bit more constructive for awhile. I know it has taken them way too long to release updates and so on but the quality of pictures 3.x.x outputs is worth the wait. My workflow has been seriously affected by these delays but I'm sure P1 will do their best and new versions are on the way.

3.7.8 is available for Mac as of today 1st Feb. Apparently supports Canon 1Ds3 and other cameras supported by V4 but no DNG.

Hopefully it will be available for Windows very, very soon/

It seems that the 1D(s)MIII won't be correctly supported in 3.7.8 as was already the case in 3.7.7.
The pixel errors will still be there and you will still be forced to crop every single image manually!

On installation 3.7.8 comes up with a message saying it will only run under Windows XP or Win2000.

Hey guys wake up Vista has been around for over a year!

I have now got to find out again how I installed the eartlier version under Vista!

Vista instructions found for 3.7.8: search in Support on Vista but of course you have to run as administrator! Not good security practice.

Also good news is that it does not appear to have the problem reported (on the Mac forum?) where a long edge of a converted file has a ragged edge a few pixels wide.
