I agree - the "intersection of selected keywords" does not seem to work from the "HIERARCHICAL KEYWORDS" panel. However, it does seem to work from the "Keywords" list under "CATALOG FIELDS". This seems to be true in Media Pro and Media Pro Reader.

It seems that the documentation for the Organize Panel completely lacks any coverage of the HIERARCHICAL KEYWORDS section except to say how to create keywords, so it is difficult to know what the intended functionality is.

It works for me and exactly as advertised.

If you use intersection and have images in both selected hierarchical keywords and you select both nodes, then only the image(s) in both will be the result. If you use join, then all unique images of both selected nodes are the result.

I'm on a mac, not sure whether that makes a difference. I'm also on the latest version of MP.

I confirm I have the exact same issue: intersection doesn't work form within the keyword hierarchy: for example if I select 2 keywords they will always use the union mode, even if set to intersect.

I just tested this on my version (MP 1.5 on a Mac, OS X Yosemite) and can confirm that Intersection of hierarchical keywords is buggy. I was able to get it to work briefly, but only once. Now I can't get it to work at all. The function worked fine in Expression Media, so it appears that Phase One introduced this bug in Media Pro.

(Intersection of flat Keywords and Catalog Sets works fine, though.)

I will report this bug to the support team.

I confirm the bug but be aware that hierarchical keywords are only sets coupled with keywords.
    (invisible seed set named "@KeywordsSet")
However, this bug is not in the keywords nor in sets.
    So you can bypass easily.

I don't understand what you mean by "bypass." Can you elaborate?
