Can't create files - program error. Help anyone?

Capture One 4.8.3 is being flaky: it won't process files, and gives me the error message below. My settings are also shown.

Can anyone help? I've got Capture One 3.7.7 installed, which works perfectly.

I suggest you to open the Library tool tab. Below you can get Info (might be collapsed; expand it). Look for permissions. Should be Read & Write or All.

Not a fix but a bodge ... if in C1 4 I navigate to a different folder, then in Windows Explorer I delete the cache files *.cop, then navigate back to the folder in C1 4 so the cache files are regenerated, I can then export my images.

Weird ... guess it must be a bug as Windows XP has recently been reinstalled and the PC is in tip-top condition... ☹️
