5DMK2 no longer tethers to C01 PRO
Hi. My 5 Mark 2 stopped tethering on my laptop (MAC BOOK PRO - MAC OS X 10.6.8 8GB RAMM with 200GB Available HDD space). Capture 1 PRO 6.3.2 - It appears to start downloading the file, then stops? I have reset the preferences, changed usb cables, used another 5D Mk2, tried different USB ports on the laptop, and they simply will not tether anymore. The cameras in question tethers perfectly to LIGHTROOM on the same machine, and they also shoot tethered on my other laptops using the same version of capture 1 PRO? Any ideas as to why Capture 1 PRO will no longer allow tethered shooting?
I generally use the USB port closest to the power port, as the other one generally doesn't support tethering. Tethering with the 5DMK2 is fustrating and tempermental at best, now it is simply un-cooperative. Thanks i advance for replies and suggestions.

I would suggest a two sided approach.
One is hardware related: try a powered USB repeater. Despite that the camera will tether to Lightroom on the same system, it seems that the combination 10.6.8 / Canon / CO Pro 6 is very power sensitive, in particular on newer hardware.
Second is software related: go through a clean-up procedure for CO Pro 6, in particular the session, preferences files and application support files. This will basically reset CO6. I also suggest to deselect all camera providers except for Canon from the Preferences. Some users have reported better results after removing EOS Utility from their systems.0
