Help Upgrading to 4.5 pro
I had 3.7 pro on my computer - upgraded to 4 non-pro and the activation between the two products were shared. Deactive one the other deactives too. Well, ended up with only 4 on this machine activated with a pro code.
Now 4.5 came out and I have not been able to get this to be a 'pro' version yet. I've been working with their tech support (whoose last response after 8 back and forths over 2 weeks from their next tier of support) was that I must not have internet connected to this computer (yeah right).
Anyway - the root problem seems to be there is no way to fully - and I mean fully - de-install the old software. I went everywhere their tech article says plus other places. All registry entries, directories, etc (even all the hidden directories) and remove all Capture One software. Then when I re download and install a clean copy and go to the license page it thinks is already activated with my prior code and is still not the pro version.
Anyone have any clue of where the activation is stored and how to really fully remove capture one. Their tech support has been pretty pitiful. I'm going in circles with them with no real thought going in to addressing the issue of the prior paragraph.
So, just in case anyone here has any ideas or experience of their own with how to fully remove the activation key that must intuitively be stored someplace on the computer let me know.
I'm assuming I could always wipe my computer and reinstall vista. But that's a pretty lame and time expensive way to fix a bug in their software.

I might be able to help you out but prefer to do that offline. If you are interested, leave a note and your mail address on my web site's contact page (neglect the Dutch language) which is in my profile. 0
