Adjustments Clipboard Expand All

You can use the 3 dots icon top left of the tool clipboard tool to Collapse All (or expand all).

That might make the layers section more readily accessible? Especially if that is the only open tool in the tab or has a tab of its own. Or floats.

    Would that help somewhat?

Yes I have seen the expand all and collapse all. However even when I collapse all, the will automatically expand every single time I copy adjustments from a setting which makes hunting round for a specific sub item take much longer. Currently I have my adjustments clipboard floating off to the side of my normal window separate from the rest of the tools. Even on my 27" iMac there is not room form top to bottom to show all the the items on the clipboard. It would seem that it is unnecessary to automatically expand the whole clipboard automatically every time it's contents are copied.

It's showing, at a glance, you which tools and settings are active. If it was always collapsed by default people would complain that they could not see which tools are applied and they were wasting too much time opening it up!

All they have to do is leave the view as it was the last time the tool was used rather than resetting it. Each category with applied adjustments will still have the orange dash on their checkbox so you can easily see if you need to expand any of them.

I agree. Just let me change if it is collapsed or expanded. I don't know why there is a need to automatically expand it every time I copy adjustments. Better yet, since Capture One lets you customized just about everything else, let us set up a custom adjustments clipboard and remove the 90% we don't use.

If you want to make that into an enhancement request create a Support Case and write it up to get it recorded for consideration.

I'm glad you raised this: The auto expanding list drives me nuts since version 7 and I made the same feature request in every version since. The groups should be left open / closed as one left them the last time! Some crucial functions are off-screen after copying settings and I have to constantly scroll or close groups to change the status.

What if the changes you have made this time are not for the same tools as you used last time?

Well as it is now some of those items can be past the bottom of the screen so you may not even know they're checked unless you scroll down anyway. I've accidentally applied metadata that I didn't want to because I didn't see them in the list. So like I said above, with the view retained as it was last time, you'll still see the orange dash on the checkbox to indicate what sections have adjustments in them (assuming you have most of them closed).

This is not a problem for me. There is always some groups which are unimportant at the moment and which can remain closed while the important ones are open. C1 indicates with v / – / blank whether tools in a closed group are being copied or not. What is the use of this if the groups are constantly expanded?
Local adjustments and LCC are tools I switch on and off a lot and they are always of-screen, which is dangerous. I use a technical camera and need to apply different LCC corrections for almost every shot - and I have to constantly scroll down in order to avoid annoying mistakes.
