CR2's Not showing up in Capture One

I have used capture one version 6.3.4 on numerous occasions successfully converting my CR2's to tiffs as normal. Today I got a hard drive back from a photographer from a recent shoot with images he has batch processed, and from there I wish to convert them to their tiffs. However the CR2's do not show up. In their appropriate folders it says collection is empty even though they are there in the finder window (at 20-25mb size).
Could this be an issue with me not using the most updated version 6.4.4? Are the CR2s some how corrupt? I am just confused and from using this software on and off for the last year, I haven't come to this problem before.
Any thoughts? Thank you.

My first thought is that the images on that hard disk are made with a newer model Canon, which requires a more recent version of CO6.
Update to CO 6.4.4 and see what happens.0 -
Please remember that only full size RAWs are supporten by C1. sRAW i mRAW from Canon 5d Mk3 are not still supported.
