Capture One Film Styles
Hello,
I've downloaded and installed the sample film style pack and I don't get the results I want. I used to shoot film and when I apply the film styles from the sample nothing really looks like those film I used to work with.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong the way I start out in CO. What settings need to be applied before I use a film style? I assume that basic color correction for the lighting situation is necessary. Or does this only work with PhaseOne cameras?
I'd like to buy the full pack but I'm not convinced that it will work for me.
Any advice is highly appreciated!
Best,
Detlef

Hi Detlef,
I totally agree with your assessment of the Capture One Film Style Pack, they don't look like the films they try to evoke.
Maybe you can have a look at some other resources like C1 Natural Styles, 1Styles Pro, RNI (Really Nice Images), Filtergrade, IWLTBAP (I Would Like To Be A Pony)...
I ended up buying the Capture One Spectrum Pack and a couple of C1 Natural Style collections.
Cheers,
