Processing variants
My normal workflow is to do all adjustments then select all thumbnails and do shift + process to initate processing.
however when i have an image with variants, i cannot get the variants to process, unless they are 'expanded' from the primary (by clicking the icon in the top left of thumbnail) BEFORE i select and shitf+process. Shift+process on a selected collapsed variant group only processes the primary variant, whatever i do.
This is a total pain as whenever I open C1, any variants are always collapsed, regardless of how i left them on my last session. That means i have to scroll through the whole list of (usually several hundred) thumbnails looking for variant groups (which are very esy to miss), and expand them before i can then select and process.
Am i missing something? does anyone know of a more reliable way?

Go to the "Image" menu and choose "Expand All" to expand all the variants in the current session.
I will say that the use of the word "variants" in the, "Hold down the Shift key to process all selected variants", is misleading; it probably should read, "images."0 -
Brilliant! - thanks.
That's just what i was looking for! (appart from more intuative batch inserting of course....!)
