Dangerous bug!

I have been importing my full photo library (56000 images) as Catalog with the files stored on current location
it was really a hard process.....since trying to import all folders at once froze C1 ...many times ☹️
at the end i did it folder by folder...

then just by chance I have discovered that C1 didn't import several Psd and Tiff files (which are perfectly readable by PS,LR and Aperture)
the most scaring things is that I didn't receive any warning that some files were not imported!
This is really dangerous ...and I hope the team does something about it !

  PSD is not supported for import (only export).
  
  TIFF support is there, so you might want look into that more detailed. For example, a global filter on TIFF can be active.
  
  There are some known limitations regarding TIFFs (Alpha channel, large files, perhaps RGB only, no CMYK color spaces or Grayscale, not sure).

  Nor would you as files which we do not support would not be in error if they failed to import. Please reference the release notes of the software to define supported file types.
  The only concern here is the TIFF files which did not import and as Paul pointed out there could be various reasons for this to occur.

  I think this an important point...
  As C1 is a pro app i would expect a warning if during a large import there are files which are left behind.
  (...Aperture and LR warn you if a file is not supported or imported )
  
  this would make feel safe those users like me that are migrating to C1 with large library

  I have 225,000 photos in my LR catalogue but it sounds as thought they would have to be split into multiple catalogues for C1.
  
  I also leave all my photo originals in their current location and want to continue with that practice.
  
  At the moment I find LR more intuative to use but maybe it is just getting used to more options with C1 then it will become easier.
