Can’t you go to the all images smart album and filter that by rating? Or create a smart album for one star images. There is a built in smart album for 5 star images - you could copy the method used for that but change 5 to 1.

Thanks Ian but I don't see an all images smart album nor a 5 star album. I was using the filter tool, not the library tool tab, but they seem to be the same. I need to read more tutorials...I'm just not understanding this.

Under Session Albums in the Library tab, I automatically see All Images and Five Stars.

You can still apply filters to the albums.

To see everything, turn off all filters.

I can apply filters to an album but it doesn't seem to apply to folders nested within that album. I might have 15 folders nested in one album & it gets time-consuming to search each one. I only use sessions & delete each one after all the images are exported to the folders on my computer. Is that creating a problem?
I've posted to tech support but don't understand their answer:

In a session, you are viewing the contents of a single folder, not the full nested folders. What you can do is use the All Images smart album to search and filter all of your work... BUT keep in mind that Smart albums only work on folders specifically part of the session database. In other words they will populate form the folders which are part of Favorites, or set as the Capture or Selects folder. If you want to view all images on your computer at once, a session is probably not the way to go since you might end up with far to many favorites to be useful. Searching all the images on your computer is really the task of a Catalog. Sessions are designed for working with specific jobs or a simple way to find and edit files by keeping a good folder structure.

UPDATE: I added all the folders & subfolders to session favorites & it seems to be working now.
