What do you want to approach?
I don't understand your question. A Hierchical Keyword is 'just' a keyword you can search for or navigate to.

    Hi Roelof,

my English is not the best, I'm not native speaker.
I can try to tell what I mean.

I have some new birds photos. I will now insert to my birds-photos a hierarchical keywords. As example my Birds are "Bartgeier" but I don't know where to find it in the tree of my hierarchical keywords.

My tree see like this (but is much longer)

Navigating such a long directory is not acceptable. I would like search keyword I need and then select it and assign to the images.

    Hello Robert,

I see what you meen (english is not my native language also 😊 now.
I'm affraid there is no way to search first and than assign a certain Hierachical Keyword to one or more photo's.

However, there are different way's to assign them. I'm do not know if you familiar whith them:
    1. The most common method is to drag and drop a photo onto the 'lowest' entry of Hierachy. However, i do like this. Whith long lists, it very ease 'slides' away, out of sight.

    2. The way i prefer is to select all photo's first. Then navigate to the Hiearchical Keyword. Right-Click and choose the option 'Add term to selected media items':

With big selections it's possible to tag them with a (temporary) color label first (and remove it after you added the keywords).

Thank you for your response. Without the search function is it not practical in my eyes. At least for very long lists.
