new inverted color editor?

Hi.
Pleased with the Metadata changes in 5.1. Two questions;
1. I can't work out how the new 'Inverted Color Editor' (referred to on your web site) works. Is there a tutorial I've missed or can you post an amendment to the manual?
2. Will it enable split toning? For example, warmtone highlights and slightly cool shadows on a monochrome image? Or do I still need to open in ACR/CS4 to achieve this effect?
