grids and guides

    Hello Carl,

There is no reset for the guides (the movable lines). But if you remove them and add a new ones, they appear in the center.

You can view your configured grid lines (with fixed positions), too. And you can combine both. Sometimes helpful. 😉

You can reset them in Preferences/ Crop / Here you set the horizontal and vertical to 50.

I don't have horizontal and vertical settings in my crop preferences. Which CO version are you on?

In 8.2 you still have the Vertical / Horizontal option. I just checked and 8.3 does not have that option which is VERY annoying. Three steps forward and 2 backwards as usual with C1Pro upgrades.
You can reset the lines to Default and they will go back to the center, but your grids (if you have any) will go to default too.
What do you mean by " if you remove them and add a new ones" ?

    Guides can be removed
    - from the menu. 'View' - 'Clear Guides' removes them all.
    - by dragging them off the image. One by one or in crossing pairs.

    Guides can be added
    - from the menu. 'View' - 'Add Guide' - 'horizontal', or - 'vertical'.

It is possible to assign keyboard shortcuts to the menu entries.

    Hans

It was certainly not intentional. I'll look into why this is missing. Windows build seems to be ok.

The CO8 online help is not clear about it.

The english 'Global Application Preferences' part http://help.phaseone.com/en/CO8/Optimiz ... ences.aspx is without 'Horizontal' and 'Vertical' settings, and without the 'Type' setting for the grid:

    http://help.phaseone.com/en/CO8/Optimizing-Your-Workflow/Preferences-Customization/~/media/Online%20Help%20-%20Capture%20One/Icons/ICONS-ONLINE-HELP/All%20sections/CO8/7-Optimizing-your-workflow/Prefs-Customization/Prefs-Customization/crop.ashx

In the german 'Globale Anwendungsvoreinstellungen 'part http://help.phaseone.com/de-De/CO8/Opti ... ences.aspx, the 'Horizontal' and 'Vertical' setting show up, but the 'Type' setting is missing, too:

    http://help.phaseone.com/de-De/CO8/Optimizing-Your-Workflow/Preferences-Customization/~/media/Online%20Help%20-%20Capture%20One/Icons/ICONS-ONLINE-HELP/All%20sections/Optimizing%20Your%20Workflow/CO7/crop.ashx

By the way... I just noticed that the 'german' images show english text. 😕

This would be very helpful to have this feature again Jim_DK. I shoot watches for a living and that small feature was critical to my daily workflow. Any idea if we'll get it back and if so, when?

    Thanks!
