Curves Channel splitting in v.5
Maybe it's just me not knowing how to work the curves right... But it seems that we've finally been given control over the individual RGB curves - but not the ability to manipulate them at the end points..
Example: If i want the red channels end point to stop at 255,230 rather than 255,255 etc..
It doesn't seem to be possible. I'm only able to adjust the curves in between 0,0 and 255,255.. ☹️
Somebody please tell me that i'm wrong.. 😊

no, that's the way they are designed.

You can use the levels in RGB mode to set the end point.0 -
yeah i would prefer that as well if it just worked like in photoshop.
and you cannot move the endpoint on the top end of the levels by the way. like lowering the whitepoit of blue to get yellowish highlights. you have to move green and red to achieve that. really a design flaw in my opinion.
i would love the curves to be fully adjustable plus the ability to enter numbers over the keyboard. look at photoshop, then you know what's to do...0 -
I found this topic just now and i'm very happy to see that also for you guys the curves control is fundamental!
on C1 3 we had custom target colors and i was waiting since october 2008 to have the same in C1 4.
finallly with big announcement they did: how they can work in such a uncomplete way?
I work as digital tech and the photographers who i work with want to have this!
