My 2019 subfolders have suddenly vanished!
Hello. I am a new capture one user - loving the program so far.
I have all my photos in a catalogue arranged by year, with subfolders in each year by actual date. My catalogue has been fine up till now. Suddenly, today, all of the subfolders from 2019 have vanished. All subfolders for all other years are still in place. The 2019 photos which are in collections are still visible but if I click on “show in library†then nothing happens.
I tried to synchronise the 2019 folder but nothing happened.
I checked in winders explorer and the subfolders and pics are still all there.
I tried to reimport the 2019 folder, but it just tells me that the pictures are already in the catalogue.
Please help! I don't know what else to try. I really don't want to have to revert to an older catalogue and lose tons of work. Has anyone else experineced this? What can I do about it?
Thank you very much.

I have known folders seem to disappear from the catalog, and as you found can't add them because Capture One thinks they are there already. I can't exactly remember what has made them show up again, but you could try closing and opening the app, also Verifying the catalog.

Thank you for your suggestion Ian. I clicked on verify catalogue and it said that it failed. So I then clicked on repair, and it said that it had repaired it. But regretfully it hasn't solved the problem. I tried reopening the program but still my folders are gone. Is there anything else I can try? I am working on a surface pro 2018. 0 -
What if you just add the folder to the catalog again, without trying to import the contents? (I'm sorry I can't remember clearly what solved this for me.)

Ian! Thank you so much for your help!! 😄 😄 😄
That did the trick. It was not an enjoyable process - took me the best part of an hour to load all of my 2019 folders one at a time, but I have got them all back again now. In each case, as soon as I clicked on the folder it immediately filled up with its photos which had been there all along. Is this some sort of bug I wonder? I really hope this never happens to me - or anyone else - again.0 -

It must be, I think.
