Catalog Sets field behaves very screwily
Is this how Catalog Sets in Media Pro 1.4.2 is supposed to work on Windows 7?
I'm a long-time user of iView MediaPro, and it never behaved in the strange following manner.
This behavior is preventing me from using PhaseOne Media Pro.
I open a new catalog.
I add two Catalog Sets in the Organize panel. Call them "Set 1" and "Set 2"
I import a jpeg image that had been captured in-camera.*
In the List tab, the first Catalog Set shown in the Organize panel has automatically been added to the image just imported. Wow, why did that happen? When I click on the image filename (in List view), "Set 1" under Catalog Sets in the Organize Panel has not changed -- it is still white/gray (not orange) and the counter is at zero, as it should be.
In the Organize panel, I right-click on "Set 1" and it turns orange. I can "Add Term to Selected Media" but the "Remove Term" is grayed-out. So I click on "Add Term". The image count is now "1" and the font remains orange. Good. But lo and behold, "Set 1" has disappeared from the Catalog Sets field for the file in the List view. To try something, I right-click on "Set 1" in the Organize panel, and I'm given a choice to "Add the Term" or "Remove the Term" from the selected media. I choose "Remove the Term" and voila!**, "Set 1" reappears in the Catalog Sets field for the image in List view. This is the opposite of what should happen in the List view.
When I add the second Catalog Set term (called "Set 2"), everything works as it should. I can add and remove terms the normal way. When I add more image files, they all show "Set 1" in the List view, although the Catalog Set has not really been added to the image.
It doesn't matter if I first import images and create Catalog Sets later. Any image imported later picks up the first Catalog Set listed.
The behavior is consistent when clicking on the counter circle to show or hide images assigned to that Catalog Set. The opposite of what you'd expect to happen, happens.
Any "mpcatalogs" that were originally created by importing older "ivu" catalogs don't have the problem described above.

Now it gets even more interesting (or strange or frustrating, depending on your general temperament or particular mood at the time).

(As opposed to a jpeg that was extracted from a Nikon raw file, which leads to other quirks, including no Capture Date being shown in the List view. But I digress)

I'm too lazy to handle French accents.

This is not normal. I would open a support case for this
http://support.phaseone.com and click on "Contact support"
or http://www.phaseone.com/en/SupportMain/ ... pport.aspx

I'm on EM on a mac but I wonder if what you are seeing is that with importing things with a catalog set selected has always had the behaviour of:
the set highlight button turns off; and
the file name (set name) in the title bar stays showing the set as selected;
the new item has not been added to the set;
if you reselect the set you'll be in the original set and the new imported items won't be there.
I see this all the time on auto import.
