    Hi,
I have a 60 D which, I believe has the same sensor as yours, so my noise profiles are similar.

For low - medium ISO shots, I find that if I push the noise reduction in CO, it is quite acceptable.
For high ISO shots, I find that CO doesn't do well.
I have 2 approaches - when I just want to post high ISO shots to the web (such as my grandson playing soccer at night) I use Lightroom. The noise reduction there is quite good; though not flexible.

When I want to produce a high quality print (or even web shot) of something with a lot of noise, I take the final shot from CO with a little noise reduction into Photoshop Elements (generally as a tiff) where I use the Topaz deNoise plug-in. I find this workflow gives me great output.
PS Elements is not very expensive, and supports all the Topaz (and others) plugins.
