Need help, Canon 1DsMark2 tethered with Tiger, error message
I am having problems shooting tethered with a Canon 1Ds Mark 2. Here are the details. I have been using the camera on a Mac G4, OSX10.3.4 with Capture One 3.7.1. It works great. I bought a new G5 dual 2.7,with 3.5 gigs of ram, updated to OSX10.4.2. I have loaded Capture One 3.7.1. The canon has the latest firmware, 1.1.3 ( I think ). It works for processing files downloaded from a Flash card. When I try to connect my Canon 1DsMark2 ( to the G5 ) it appears to connect. On the screen I get the correct shutter speed and f-stop as set on the camera. I can fire the camera from the camera, or from Capture One. The progress bar starts to move, when it reaches the end I get the message \"Capture failed\" error ffffffpd. I have tried all start up options, order. I have tested other devices on the firewire connections, everything works ok. When I reconnect the Canon to the G4 running 10.3.4 it works fine. I am at a loss. This is a brand new computer with new name-brand memory. I haven't used this computer for much yet, since I can't shoot to it, so I suppose it could be a problem with the computer. The only other software currently on the computer is Leaf Capture 8.3.4 ( a program that I wish was more like Capture One ) Photoshop CS2, Roxi toast 6, and Iviewmedia pro. I need this to work any ideas?

Don,
This error happens if Capture One is unable to write the captured image to disk. This is most likely because there is no capture folder selected. It could also be because you do not have write access to the currently selected destination.

Or, maybe you can try downgrade the OS, from Tiger to Panther 10.3.9
Please keep us update 'bout this issue.0 -
It's still not working. I have selected a folder, but I just get this error message. How does one\"have or have not\" write access? I didn't have to do anything special for this to work on my other setup. I am about to dump Tiger, I have work to get done here!

I got it working. I had created a capture folder and selected it, but I hadn't created a session. My mistake.
