Capture tool is missing

I try to tether my 20D to my Macbook Pro, Capture one pops up. but, the capture tool icon is missing on the tool bar. then i upgraded to 5.1.2, same thing.

Please help. cant tether.

It is a Pro feature. Are you running Capture One 5 Pro?

If it say's "Capture One DB" or just "Capture One" then you're not running the PRO mode.
Activating with a PRO key is the only way to obtain the PRO mode and this feature.

not the Pro version.
do I need the pro version to tether? I bought it from school, it was 4.xx version, and i upgraded it. it now can't tether.

but, can i go back to version 4.xx for the tethering function? I just bought the version 4.xx last year. i am not ready to pay $2XX for an upgrade now.

Capture One 4.X PRO? Sure, if you have a license for the PRO version. But again, it's a PRO feature.
If you do have a license for Capture One 4 PRO then the upgrade to 5 PRO is only $99.
