This is interesting, as the Owner Name does show up on images taken with my 30D (I am using v4.0.1). I don't know how C1 reads metadata; the owner string on Canon cameras is buried in the (undocumented) EXIF MakerNote; software writers who wish to make use of this note have to decode the MakerNote. But, for the 20D, this knowledge must be pretty much public property by now.

As you may have gathered from the Release Notes and posts on this forum, there are still quite a number of issues with metadata in C1 v4; only a small subset of EXIF , and no IPTC/XMP, data is read and copied into output files. Even this is, I think, an advance on previously released builds of C1 v4. At present, I am using my workflow application (BreezeBrowser Pro) to copy the metadata back from the RAW to the converted files, which is working well, though it is another step in the workflow.

Oke, i checked the same EXIF (RAW and processed JPG) in another program (irfanview) and there it is. So it is in there, but doesnt show in C1 4.1 for me.

Let's hope this will be fixed in a next update!
