Export very Slow
Hi,
i´m a little bit confused..
First my Conf:
Macbook Pro Retina 2012 i7 2,7 GHz / 16 GB / APPLE SSD SM768E / Nvidia GT 650M with Cinema Thunderbolt Display
Mac OS 10.9.3
C1P 7.2.2
9 NEF RAW from my Nikon D700 took over 3 Minutes to export as JPG (80% Quality / Default Values)
OpenCL is used:
2014-06-30 09:29:12> OpenCL initialization...
2014-06-30 09:29:12> OpenCL : found platform Apple, OpenCL Version : OpenCL 1.2 (Apr 25 2014 22:04:25)

So what is wrong?
During Export i´ve registered following Messages in the Log:CaptureOneIC.log

the RAWs are stored on Pegasus Raid R5 Thunderbolt (connected to TB Port 1)
The Exports are written to the internal SDD of the MPB
The Thunderbolt Display is connected to the second TB Port..
Is this performace usual for C1P?
I´m buyed C1P with expectation to get a very good RAW Converter, and a professional Software.
But not only the Export is very slow, also the whole behavior...
Select of Pictures...
You could see how the Bild is first "very unsharp" ...
My Preset of "Preview" is set to:
as summary: it makes no fun to work with C1P because it is so slow...

Try with some images on the local (internal) drive. If that does not improve performance, open a support case with Phase One.
Note that export should be very fast with your setup (which is similar to mine and that is very fast and fun to work with).0 -
Sorry for the late reply...
i´m a little bit busy...
and will finish my last tasks to clear the desk (before leave to vacancy)
i got not Notification that there was a reply to my question..
Thanks for you Feedback Paul...
I´ve repeated the export Job only with internal storage..
with the same result...
it took also over 3 minutes....
i will open a support case0 -

I'm also experencing very slow exports and general slow behaviour. Using a Mid 2010 iMac i7, no SSD, 8GB RAM, ATI 5750. OpenCL is set to auto.
Also storing files on a NAS (Synology DS Play 214+) and exporting to internal drive of iMAC.
Used to export the same way with Aperture which was way faster. Export of 900 RAW images (Canon 5D Mk3) in CP7 takes 2.5 hours.
Also import is killing me... app not usable during import and while generating previews.
I like pretty all the rest of CP7 compared to Aperture (except the ugly watermarking as already mentioned in the aperture thread 😊 ) but the sluggish app experience is frustrating. Hope there will be some improvement in future versions soon.
