Canon G1X RAW Processing Turns All Green
When I try to set the White Balance using the White Balance Kevin slider the Canon G1X image turns into a green cast. When I use the eye dropper on a white or grey area of the image it will not show the green cast but sets the Kevin slider to 800 although the image looks more like 6000. The minute I try to adjust the temperature with the slider the green cast is displayed. This only happens with Canon G1X images.
Camera RAW Auto sets the same image at a temperature at 5650 with no green cast problems.

I had a very similar thing when I tried to adjust the white balance of raw files from a Canon S110 using the eye dropper - everything went a vile green colour. However more recently using it on other images from the same camera has worked well enough. I am not sure whether that was because I had updated from C1 7 to 7.0.1 in the meantime. I also notice that the raw files from the S110 display in Picasa with a very strong magenta cast, so I assume that there is something a bit odd about the CR2 files from the compact camera. Raw files from my D7000 display fine in Picasa and behave normally using the eye dropper in C1. The support for the S110 is described as "preliminary" but I am not sure whether the same is true for the G1X.
Not sure if any of this is a help, but if you have not yet updated to 7.0.1 that would be worth trying.
(I am using the Mac version.)

As suggested, use the latest release of CO7, optionally remove previews and adjustments or import again in a different folder (session) or catalog and report the issue to Phase One in a support case, so they can look into it and make adjustments to the program if necessary. 0 -
Thanks for the responses. I failed to say I am running 7.01. After posting here I filed a request for support from Phase One so I'm hoping I'll get so help. I did also try a complete uninstall and then reinstalled Capture One but that did not help. I thought there may have been a corrupted file although I don't have the problem with my other cameras. I had been using Capture One for G1X files without any problems but when I went back to process the ones that had been processed before the White Balance was now set at 800 and when I tried to move the slider to the right the image turned green.
The same files were processed in CS5, Corel After Shot Pro and DPP with no problems.0 -

Thanks for your suggestions. I use sessions as I file my images by year and month. I backup my files on two other drives and I went to one of the drives and loaded the images into Capture One. There was no green cast when I moved the WB Slider. I then moved the files that had a green cast problem to another folder and copied the backup files with no green cast to the directory that held the original green cast files. I hope that is not too confusing! When I loaded the files with no green cast into Capture One they displayed a green cast when the slider was moved. I then loaded the moved original green cast files into Capture One and they displayed no green cast.
Now if you're still with me, I assume there is some kind of problem with original directory because G1X files display the green cast only in that directory. If that was not confusing enough, files in that same directory taken by a Canon 5D MKII and a Panasonic LX-3 do not have any problems and display no green cast.
I'm not sure what to do next as I use sessions and would like to keep the same directory system I've used for ten years and don't want to use catalogs.0 -
I believe I've solved my Green Cast problem. Phase One support was of no help at all. The person that had my case lacked reading and writing skills. Their system of communicating through a web site is terrible and some of their tools don't work including upload RAW images.
After giving up on them I decided the problem was probably corrupted files so I removed Capture One and all caches. I also moved all G1X RAW files out of the computer. Then I installed Capture One again and tried processing new G1X RAW files and the were no problems.0 -

After giving up on them .....
This sounds like the psd Codec problem I had with Media Pro. I eventually solved it by buying a 3rd party package after I got tired of random wandering around with PO support.0
