Live View for Canon and Nikon or More Hot Folder Perks!
Right so I am not getting much of a reply from this forum from anyone in a previous reply post (and that includes the so called phase one pro's)
As a Lightroom user recently crossed over to capture one I am quite annoyed at 2 major limitations I am seeing from the software.
Now Capture One has this very nice "Live View" option for its own cameras which is just sitting there teasing us users (canon, nikon etc) who do not own Phase One backs or Leaf. Now I would think this would be on the top priority of phase one to implement this function at least for a selection of the few top end cameras from Canon and Nikon as so many of us pro's use these cameras in the industry.
Now the other MAJOR flaw that I have found is the inability of hotfolders to apply any presets, styles, "copy from last" etc automatically . Lightroom has been doing this since version 2! Basically it would give all of us a major workaround to use the camera manufactures tethering software to achieve "live view"until such a time that phase one could implement it for the higher end cameras from each manufacturer with its own built in tethering in capture one.
Obviously phase one is pushing sales of capture one hard with its recent drops in price (this week and about a month ago) to gain sales among the broader photographic community.
So who else wants (or should I be so bold as saying DEMANDS) these features be made reality.

I am on your side.Loaded the 60day Version i can´t believe there is no live view.
I bought the capture control by onone for the same money, phaseone is offering the camera controls in app store.

It would be nice for Nikon and Canon to include these functions in their SDK. My understanding is that currently they do not. Any third party software that decides to offer it has gone around the SDK process and reverse engineered it. I can tell you that you wouldn't be the first person to ask for these features on this forum or in a support case. If you look at the addition of features in C1Pro from Version 3 to now you will see that they have been extremely busy implementing new features, many of which were requested by users.
If there is a feature that you would like to see, I recommend talking to Phase about it directly by filling out a support case:

Yes that was me posting in that previous forum posting. It might have been addressed but it was not solved. Basically applyling styles and presets to hotfolders automatically does not exist. I am quite annoyed that this has been overlooked as a function. Yes I will be submitting this as a request to phase one.0
