Odd rendering with weird banding/patterns on photo when edit

Hi, I noticed that when editing particular photo the preview would start out normal and as soon as I change some sliders, specially the Highlights and Shadows, a weird pattern gets introduced in the photo and it gets more pronounced the more you push the sliders to the right. When exporting the photo, those patterns do not show up but it's quite distracting. I got a screen capture to help portray what I'm explaining.

Macbook Pro running latest Mac OS X
Latest version of Capture One Pro for Sony
Camera: Sony a6500 latest firmware
Shot with manual flash at 1/200 of a second. Max sync speed of camera is 1/160. Could this be causing the weird pattern? It's just weird that it is not showing up on the exported version.

I've seen the same pattern issue on some of my images (Canon 1D) and filed a support case on phase one's website. It would be good if you'd do so, too. Add your file with adjustments, packed as .eip, to your case, and include log files. I'm pretty sure they will ask you to send them if you don't.

In my case, some parts of the image only show highlight recovery, others only shadow recovery, creating this odd pattern. OpenCL setting didn't matter.

Hi,

I remember seeing a similar issue after changing Preview Image Size in the settings, then choosing Regenerate Previews from the File menu and trying to make any adjustments.

After restarting CO the issue goes away, however. I can reproduce this 100% of the time. Not sure if it's exactly the same as what you are seeing.
