Before the previews are generated, C1 display the jpeg previews of the raws "as shot" that is processed by the DSLR with its own settings (saturation, contrast,...).

In other words, to add to Emanuel's post, what you see initially is a corrected (that is in-camera) and processed image, and next, after preview generation, a non-corrected preview of a raw image.

You could have a philosophical debate whether or not the standard ICC profile and curve that CO7 applies to your raw data is an adjustment or not. Fact remains that in the image workflow of a raw file CO7 has to apply a profile and a curve anyway (as does any other raw program). You can set another profile/curve combination as default. Some work with the linear curve.

Next, in the import images dialog, Adjustments section, there is a checkbox 'Auto Adjust'. Make sure it is not set.

Last, one auto-correction is applied by default, and that is lens correction. To speed up your import process, switch it off from the Lens Correction tool's context menu (small triangle at right).

Thanks a lot to both of you.

    That clears it up 😊
