Backing up Raw Flies
Hi
As I understand it, only the adjustments done in C1 are backed up. Does this mean the raw files are not backed up at all and if the hard drive on my Mac fails how do you retrieve them. My files were originally imported from aperture and are managed and my back up is on a separate hard drive.
Thanks Tony

Everything on my hard drive is backed up using Time Machine. If the hard drive fails, I can restore both my images and my adjustments.

The backup feature of C1 does not backup raw files. It only backed up the catalog database and some other adjustment data. That way the naming of the feature is misleading since it is called 'Catalog backup' and I wasn't able to find any help documents with further explanation.
Just use your own backup solution to backup the catalog. That's better anyhow and everyone should be backing up regularly.0
