Just subscribed to Capture one 9 and keeps crashing etc!
I have another 12 days to cancel the order and feel that after searching the forum and seeing a lot of similar issues maybe doing just that! 🤬
I used the months trial to get away from lightroom, took some getting used to with the differences but ok, then decided i'll go for the subscription for 12 months and really delve into it but since starting that only yesterday have had nothing but issues!
I was going for a catalog system but that wants to take 9 hours to import my images (just less than 140gb) which seems quite a while, but even using a few sessions etc its not just hanging or crashing at times!
It also seems to be using a stupid amount of memory!

OK but it shouldnt be crashing so readily surely, i don't mind if it works slowly but.... 0 -
Yes. I wasn't sure about that from your post "its not just hanging or crashing"
Can you describe the crash and what you/C1 done prior that more detailed? Can you identify a pattern? Have you had a look into the C1 application.log?
And eventviewer? (if some similar system log exists on a Mac).0 -
Nothing unusual, getting similar readings in the Activity monitor and more. Having 4 GB or 32 Gb RAM does not seem to make much of a difference once CO RAM-vampire goes wild.
Refund is an option but in my case invested considerable time, know it rather well by now and like the results I get.
Meanwhile found out how to use it without getting the issues. To freak the CO out is easy: open /close few sessions (without closing CO), even empty, not to mention any bigger catalogue ...and it goes 5 > 8 >12> 24 whatever Gb in no time... So I work with small chunks, small sessions and if it goes crazy close and open the CO.0 -

tried that, there is but its all gobbledegook to me ☹️
It just doesn't seem to be coping with importing my images from where they are to a single catalog :-/0 -
think i want to use catalog mainly so when i want to search all my images from metadata, ie say I want to find every image ive keyworded as "bedford" then they will show up, however, im not sure if that will happen if i use session based? Does that make sense? 0 -
Oh and have downloaded lightroom CC and it's working with no issues whatsoever :-/ 0
