V6 freezes the computer
It is the new Capture One V6 which is crashing on my computer within minutes!
It totally freezes the computer, so I have to do a hard restart with the power button.
System is Mac OS X 10.6.5, machine is a MacPro 2x2,8 Quad Core, GraphicCard is zhe NVIDIA Geforce 8800 GT.
I deleted the captureone plists in preference folder and restarted the software.
It is getting worsere and worser!

the NVIDIA Geforce 8800 GT is by default officially supported for OpenCL use in C1 (for performance), however if you are seeing issues and image artifacts, try turning the OpenCL popup in the C1's general prefs to NEVER instead of AUTO. 0 -
Let us know if it works 😉 0 -
I've just had the same problem and turning off Open CL stops the freezes.
Looks like my 8 core 3.2 mac is now out of date.... 🤓0 -
Yes, after turning of the Open GL my computer also works fine. Oh Boy.... 0 -
I think the NVIDIA Geforce 8800 GT is 512Mb? The Open CL support seems to be only for 1Gb+ graphics cards. I have an early 2009 MacPro with a ATI Radeon HD 4870 512Mb and also had to turn off Open CL because of video distortion. Rather disappointing as I paid extra for a better graphics card at the time and was hoping the Open CL would work. To exchange with a 1Gb card would cost about £200.
Also I upped my RAM to 5Gb when I got Capture One v5 as 3Gb wasn't enough and I now find that 5Gb is barely sufficient with v6. It does start up a lot faster though.0
