Feature Request - Cropping - Redesign
Please can Capture One devote some development time to a complete redesign of the Cropping tool !!
I see how some of the features work well for "pro" workflows where Capture One is not the last step in the process but for those of us who would like to output and be done the current tool is :
a. Legacy - no significant improvements for many versions.
b. Awkward and difficult to use for many purposes.
c. Prone to multiple and hangups when trying to maximize crop size on a rotated image.
Now that we are finally getting better GPU support for a lot of Capture One - I for one would support the development of an entirely new module that adopts more of the commonly found techniques in this millennium's software.
Forget Lightroom - I just jumped out to try something in Photo's for god's sake and the whole experience is so much smoother and frankly enjoyable - but please don't suggest I should crop outside of Capture One - I'd like a fully working modern day approach working just as well inside of C1.

You know, don't you, that this is a user-to-user forum? We can't do anything about your suggestion. If you want to make suggestions to Phase One about the cropping tool, put a feature request into a support case.

How would you make it better? it's already so much better than LR. It works very similar to how Aperture worked. You could select and crop multiples at once and that nice, unlike LR.
It's speedy now. Rotate works well even if you have multiple selected images. I guess the only thing is switching portrait or landscape but after figuring it out, it's not bad vs pressing "x" to switch.0 -
The crop tool was one of the first things I struggled with when I switched from Lightroom to Capture One. It wasn't the easiest to use. So I definitely agree with you..they could change some things, but I have since gotten used to it. 0 -
So nobody has explained yet what they want to be different in the crop tool.
