    Andy,

I have the same problem and am also waiting for a reply to the same question I asked on another thread. What camera are you using? Mine is the 1Ds.

No replies. That's a shame. I guess I will have to go back to ver.3.5 until there is a fix. It's too bad as I applied to be a Beta tester but they weren't interested. Maybe it could have been dealt will earlier.

Nuts, I just got a reply about this from Phase one, and was going to paste it in here, now can't seem to get back to the text. Basically what they said was that they can't communicate with the camera to get the white balance info from it. The work around is to use a preset white balance in the camera.

My reply/request for further clarification was as follows.
Maybe we aren't talking about the same thing. In version 3.5.2 (and earlier versions) this button does just what I'd expect it to do, that's why I've \"downgraded\" to it again.

I'll put a gray card in the image, use the white balance tool on it, click the \"set as camera balance\" button, then every shot I take after that uses the same white balance setting. I can even adjust the color using sliders and color wheel.

Regardless of why, the real question is will...will this button do anything in future versions. Or to paraphrase John, is version 3.5.2 the one for me, or am I to expect an upgrade?

My camera hasn't changed, it's likely C1. I'm happy with 3.5.2 which has this feature that is so critical to my workflow. I'd just like to know if I can ignore future versions.

Sound's like you are in the same boat as me, hard to believe there are only two people using this feature. I'll put their response here if you are interested. In the mean time I working in 3.5.2. Still it's pretty nice software

    Andy,
Thanks, no need to pass on the reply. From what I've gathered by reading various threads around the net, the original programmers of the Windows version left and I guess the new team is having difficulty putting things back in.

I am back to 3.5 (dont have 3.5.2) and it works well for me. I don't think there are a lot of people who use Canon cameras tethered with Capture One (certainly not the programmers) and that is why we have the issue. But other than than, and the painstaking method of setting camera orientation, this software is perfect for my workflow.
