I have an JPEG image that that is on my desk top. I would like to move the image from the desk top into an existing C1 folder. I am using Catalogs.

Hi,
The best for you would be to copy the image into the disk/folder where are located all your images (or any other place you like, except the desktop !!). Then, import into the C1 catalog the image with the label "current location" in the destination of the the folder you want ti "import to".
An alternative way is to import the image from your desktop (import from) into the folder you want it to store in (import to).
That's all.

I am doing something wrong because it is not working. I have an image that is currently located in my “Recent Imports†folder and I would like to move it into a folder in my 2018 catalog?
The image in question was originally imported from an iPhone and I would like to reside with the rest of the images that were down loaded from my regular camera.0 -
The recent imports folder is not a physical location, it is just the app showing you the images you have recently imported into Capture One. You can't move images out of it. But if you right click the image you can choose Show in Library or Show in Finder (or you can select those two options from the Image menu) to see the physical location of the image. Show in Finder does what it says. Show in Library takes you to the folder in the Folders section of the Library tool where the image actually resides. If you want to physically move the image file from one place to another on your computer, without Capture One losing track of it, do it from within the Library tool in Capture One. Just drag and drop it in the Folders section from its current location to its intended location. It won't move from Recent Imports, but it will move on disk.

Ian, I knew about the physical location, but got fouled up trying to explain it. However, your suggestion worked and while it is still in Recent Imports, it is also located in the fold that I wanted.
Thank you very much!!0
