I had the same issue and also opened a case with the support. Yesterday Apple pushed an OS upgrade, 10.9.4 I have updated the system and tried the import again and it seems more stable at this stage. Imported around 10K of images into a catalog without an issue. Referenced, not managed.

hi, I'm using 10.9.4. What I mean with old is that I've installed since the release on June 30st (According to App Store) and I bought C1 on the 1st of July, so for me is just the experience using C1 with this version.

That being said, I must said, I've tried every possible way to import my library into C1 either as a Session or as a Catalog, without any success, it doesn't import the whole library (around 16k RAW files). I've also tried using Lightroom library as a indirect way (I'm coming from Aperture so I've to import all of them firstly into Lightroom).

I've contacted the Support Centre, however they are just answering my request once a day, so if I's in Switzerland and they in the US, I get one response per day with a minimal comment, nothing relevant as try importing again....?, so I'm stuck on this since almost one week with no success.

Also, requested them a reimbursement according to the European Consumer Act Directive, because they don't want to reimburse as a policy, this based in the long testing period they grant. So at the end I paid for a product still in beta that is not delivering what it should. Anyhow, the refund in within ate least 14 days after transferring possession should apply for me as local regulations mandate. There is no answer from PhaseOne regarding this issue, they simply avoid answering.

Anyway, I would really like this software to work, I don't like Lightroom; therefore, I will appreciate if somebody might know what to do.

    Cheers,
    Daniel

    Daniel,

Are you able to import your 16K files in a few parts, say for example, 4K a time and restart you system in between?

Another suggestion is to set the preview size on a lower than default value (default is 2560 I believe). You can always increase the preview later if you like. You can set this from the preferences.
