Individual Curve Channels?
What happened to the individual Curves channel adjustments in C1 Pro 4? We used to have a composite channel plus individual red, green and blue channel curves adjustments. Now we only appear to have the single composite Curve.

They implemented insteas the color editor.. not a bad feature but not a substitute either.
I dont know why they took the possibility of individual curve correction away.
Please return it!!0 -
This is not correct
Color Editor Was in 3 and is in 4
It is not a substitute for individual curves.
Individual curves is on the roadmap for Capture One but which version it will be in I can not currently say.0 -

You cant be true..
I mean - editing files in a professional way should be a major thing.. and comming with the first release of a follower. Editing colors in different chanels is really not a minor thing which can be somewhere somewhen on the roadmap!
I mean - why do you throw out a software that you dont support fully? As long as you dont release a complete professional follower i would highly recommend to ad at least some camera raw file support to C1pro3.. that people can work propperly.
Dont you read all the mails and posts of frustrated, unhappy and angry customers??0 -
Oh yes I do, and I am my self surprised that not more people see this as a major missing feature.
I am looking forward getting this implemented when I am my self using this from time to time however have found my self being able to accomplish much with color editor we previously discussed but do not find it a full replacement.0 -
I hope it will come very soon 😊
Is there a way to edit profiles still in 4.x?? Or is the color editor the substitut - editing profile was a huge feature for me. I might be def dumb and blind - but i could/can not find it0 -
Yes you can.
The color editor in Capture One 4 is just taking the concept further in the way that your color edits can be applied like a setting but if you use the small arrow down which is in the bar of the color editor you can also "Save as ICC profile..", much like you are used to from Capture One 3's color editor.0 -
Thank you..
Does it work the same way like it was before??
Is it using the current root profile of the picture?? Is it kind of an edited camera icc if i export it in an icc profile?0 -
It is the same way as before.
It is basing the current camera profile and when you export, it is the camera profile + your edits to it.0 -

Ulf. maybe people are tired to repeat themselfes. Several users mentioned individual curve chanels when the first beta came out. Me I sent a feature request a while ago and were asking for the individual chanels. And in addition for a 4th chanel... luminance only.

As rarely someone talks about the "roadmap"... we just don't know what is still in the pipeline or what was ignored as other features were.
So people stop reporting and requesting... and just try to make the best out of what is available.
In the case of the chanles and the stitcher I know that these features will come. But about everything else I have no idea.0 -
The suggestion for a Luminance only Curve is great. That would be a great addition and one in a professional direction. 0 -
still no seperate curves... i cant believe phase one regards such a BASIC feature as debatable. i mean everybody is used to work with curves since photoshop 1 and it existed in capture one 3 already. so why not in 4? it can not really be too hard to do, no?
i know MANY people missing this feature (all working on professional fashion shoots - and by that i mean vogue and stuff). i find no possible explanation for this.
PLEASE phase one, please take care you will fix this soon.0 -
i've been given a personal guarantee that they are going to turn up within 3 months ...
that was on the 25th of august 09 - yup a large feature missing from 4
cheers noel0 -
i'm still waiting for individual channels regulations!!
i have to use digital photo professional!!

Capture one was the best, when it will return to the top?

I had the same kind of guarantee last year :-/
I know at least 4 high end pro photographers that can't work with C1 4 because of this missing feature. We're stuck with 3.7.9 and older Digital Backs. Can't even work with MarkIII or 5D
I don't know any "Pro" image editing software missing this.0 -

If you consider speed of treatment, C1 4 is still on top. Too bad those curves ain't implemented yet.0 -
sorry oliver9, digital photo professional from canon and flexcolor from hasselblad do that.
bye
paolo10 -
but about speed of treatment you're right, oliver9! 0 -
You will see this very soon.
More I can not say due to announcements has its official channel.0 -
finally!!
anything else, like a focus tool without a new window?
would be a real bingo, after one year!!
thanks anyway

I certainly endorse this view. After generating lists of essentially features - all available in v3.7.9 and many since the earliest iterations of CO Pro, you just lose hope that you will be heard. While appreciating the efforts that go into the development of CO, and the many recent achievements of the program, a greater responsiveness to user needs would certainly be appreciated. Many of us do not see the wisdom in losing essential components of the program that were outstanding in 3.7.9 (for instance the focus tool among a host of others) in order to gain the undoubted advantages available in 4.8.30 -
I definetely agree with Ralph.
I hope that soon i'll come back to capture one!

individual curve channels coming in capture one 5.

release date maybe even by the end of this year.0 -
Can we someday be able to change 0 and 255 input in curves, RGB curves, and RGB levels? 0 -

Input? Not likely. Since we are assumedly editing RAW files, these Values are not technically defined at input. Restricting them as such wouldn't really make clear, consistent sense.0
