session is now pointing to a different folder?
a very strange ting happened: i have been working on a session for the last couple of days, mostly going through, deleting images, making simple adjustments, no major edits....this morning i downloaded some sample files from a camera i am interested in, after the download i clicked on one of the .dng files and to my surprise C1 opens and presents me with the file i clicked on as well as all (readable) image files from my downloads folder in the thumb row on the bottom...
problem is that the session name on top is the same as the one i have been working on! but none of the images from that session are shown....i close C1, go to the actual folder of the original session, open the C1 session file right there, but C1 opens to the same downloaded image and shows me the content of the download folder.....
my original session images (and folder structure,...) are all in the capture folder, everything seems to be fine.....but the session file tells me the original creation date and shows me that it was last edited when i clicked on that .dng file this morning....
any ideas? i wold really like my session back! am i missing something?

If you open the session (by double clicking on the session file in Finder) and still find yourself looking at the downloads folder, then try this.
(1) In the library tool, click on one of the session folders at the top of the panel (Capture, Selects, Output, Trash). Do you see what you expect to see or not? If you do then all is well. It will just be that C1 was looking at the last folder you were using which was the downloads folder. It usually opens in the same place in which you last left it.
If not...
(2) Still on the library tab, find your way to the System folder section and navigate to the folders where your images should be. You can click on those folders and have a look. You should also see against each of those subfolders a small icon indicating that the folder is the session capture folder (a camera) selects folder (an arrow) output folder (a cog wheel) or trash folder (a trash can). If any of those icons are NOT there then somehow some other folder has been designated as the capture, selects, etc folder. If the icon is missing, just right click the folder and choose Set as Capture Folder (or Selects, output or trash as the case may be.) Repeat as required.

thanks!
just went to the library tool and navigated from there....funny: since i only work in sessions (the catalog thing does not work for me at all...too many images i guess....it is just way too slow) i never even think about the library tool!
it's all there!
still strange to me that C1 opened into that folder just by clicking on one image (and C1 isn't even the default app to open .dng?) i would assume that it should trigger some kind of import dialog instead?0 -

You could import the image into your current session instead by opening C1 first, then clicking the import button, and choosing the location to import from as the folder where your desired image resides. It would then import a copy into your capture folder.
