    The eye-icon stands for read-only. CO4 can not adjust the file. Because you mention a particular hard drive, this is almost for sure a Windows permission issue. See the Info section on the Library tool tab, below. Expand if collapsed. Here you find the permissions status. Should read 'All'.

    I had with issue when I first installed Win 7. My V: drive had write permission fro Admins only and in Win 7 the regular user had no admin rights. I reset permissions on the drive and it solved the problem.
    I had this issue on another computer in trial version. It was set to Digital Back only somehow. In the help->licensing menu I reset it to normal version and it worked fine after that.
