H25 raw conversion speed on a mac
Hi,
It takes 32 seconds to process a single raw file from a H25 to high res tiff format on a G5 2.5ghz running 10.3.6. Is there any way this can be sped up dramatically?
As I see it only some form of cluster using apple's xgrid is the way. Does phase one have any plans to make C1 Pro work using Apples Xgrid?
Thanks,
Daniel

I noticed a dramatic reduction in processing time on my Dual 1GHz G4 when I upgraded from 0.75 GB RAM to 1.75 GB RAM. Processing time of my 1Ds files dropped from about 41 seconds to 30 seconds. Of course, more memory doesn't mean faster, but if you're below a certain threshold more can help. I assume Daniel probably has enough memory in his G5 but this may be of help to others.
I've since dropped another 10 seconds off the processing time with a new computer but the way I save the most time is by optimizing various aspects of my workflow. Also I usually make all of my adjustments in C1 after a day's shooting and then let the computer process everything overnight.
