Slowness from thumb nail to larger photo
I've had Media Pro for quite a while and downloaded the new beta version yesterday to see how it would work. I imported a few files and found it loaded them just fine, but when going from the thumb nail to the larger size photo it took quite a while for the larger photo to render.
I'm on a 7 mos. old 27" Retina Screen iMac with 16 gig of ram and plenty of space left on the hard drive. I use a Nikon D800 and 810 with the 36 mp.
Once the larger photo is rendered it looks great, but it sure took longer than Bridge, LR or Capture One. Once the photo is rendered in either LR or Bridge and you again click on that thumbnail, the larger picture pops right up. In Media Pro it has to start the rendering process all over again. My photos are only 36 mp. I'd hate to see this on a 50 or the 100 MP new Phase One camera.
Is this going to be the norm for Media Pro? or is this just because it is in beta testing.
